Performance Review of the Zimbabwe Environment Management Agency - Team Leader

The purpose of the performance review is to undertake a detailed assessment of EMA governance and technical operating systems, processes and procedures in order to determine the possible quantified and time framed interventions by Government (in terms of governance, systems, capitalisation, etc.) to improve on the Agency’s performance in order for it to deliver on its mandate, vision and objectives in the most economic, efficient and effective way for the realisation of national socio-economic objectives
Education required
Master Degree in Environmental Economics, Environmental Management, or other areas relevant to the profile
Experience required
- At least 12 years experience in the sector relevant to the profile
- The expert shall have experience in the following areas: Research and assessment on the economic impacts of environmental conservation initiatives ; International environmental agreements ; Environmental Strategic Assessments ; Environmental Impact Assessments ; Appraisal of environmental impact of regulations or policies ; Community-based environmental conservation and development projects (incl. economic analysis) ; Cost benefit analysis, socio-economic and financial feasibility of environmental strategies & programmes ; Collection and analysis of environmental data
- Experience with organisations responsible for environmental management
- Experience in the SADC Region and/or other African countries
