Railway Supervision Construction

Ministry of Railways (MOR), Government of India has planned to construct Dedicated High Axle Load
Freight Corridor covering about 3325 kms on two corridors, Eastern Corridor from Ludhiana
(Sahnewal) to Sonenagar/Dankuni and Western Corridor from Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Mumbai to
Tughlakabad/ Dadri near Delhi along with inter-linking of the two corridors at Dadri. All of this will be
double line except Khurja –Ludhiana (Sahnewal) which will be a single line section.
The Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) Project entails construction of railway tracks capable of
handling 25 ton axle load initially and 32.5 ton axle load eventually and longer trains. Up-gradation of
transportation technology, increase in productivity and reduction in unit transportation costs have
been taken as guiding principles for formulating the project. Various operating systems, motive power,
signalling and work processes are planned to conform to this broad objective.
The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation India Limited (DFCCIL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle
created by the Government of India to implement and operate the Dedicated Freight Corridors –
currently comprising the Eastern Corridor and the Western Corridor. The present assignment is for
the Khurja - Dadri section of the Eastern Corridor.
Education required
minimum bachelor in civil engineering
Experience required
· Experience:

o More than 20 years of general experience

o More than 15 years' experience in Railway/ Transport infrastructure Projects

o More than 5 years' experience as Team Leader in Railway Supervision Project/s

o More than 10 years' international experience and participation in at least 2 Railways projects with modern technology
