Sri Lanka - Financial expert m/f

Project: Strenghtening the Insitutional Capacity of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board - Sri Lanka
Education required: Financial Management Expert

Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, public financial management, or related field, and a recognized professional accountancy qualification (e.g., CPA, CA or equivalent) or equivalent in related fields is preferred.
Experience required: 15 years of experience in financial management, in the public and/or the private sector
Past experience with working in the water utility sector is considered an advantage

Extensive understanding of Government of Sri Lanka’s financial management and accounting standards and procedures including Sri Lanka Public Sector Accounting Standards (SLPSAS), as well as Sri Lanka Auditing Standards (SLAuSs)
Experience in evaluating and implementing financial management systems (including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal audit and computerized accounting systems) and introducing/facilitating reforms and improvements to an organization’s existing Financial management systems and delivering training
