Communication and Visibility Support for EU funded Trade Facilitation and Private
Sector Development under COMESA

The global objective of this contract is to "assist the COMESA secretariat and the EU
Delegation in ensuring a coherent and harmonised high level of visibility of EU support to
COMESA regional economic integration through trade facilitation and private sector
development actions (i.e. Trade Facilitation, Small Scale Cross-Border Trade and
RECAMP)."
Education required
At least a Master's Degree, or equivalent, in one the following areas: public relations, communications and media, digital marketing,
journalism, advertising or a related field, or, in its absence, a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in the aforementioned areas and in addition 3 years of relevant experience
in addition to those years required in the general professional experience (minimum requirement).
Experience required
General professional experience:

At least 12 years of relevant professional experience in one or more sectors in public relations, communications and media, digital marketing,
journalism, advertising or a related field (minimum requirement). o Previous experience in coordinating and manging teams multidisciplinary, multicultural and ethnically
diverse teams in African countries (desirable);.

Specific professional experience:

Experience in managing at least two thematic multimedia campaigns or a similar size / nature / complexity to this contract (minimum requirement);
Practical experience in wide range of communications approaches, tools and methodologies related to planning, executing, and monitoring
communication work (minimum requirement);
Experience in managing campaigns related to the trade and private sector development (desirable);
Previous experience in developing communication and visibility strategies and campaigns in the COMESA region (desirable);
Previous experience successfully designing and implementing a communication and visibility plan of an EU funded action or for an international
organisation (desirable).
