- Regional Assessment of Solid Waste Management in the Caribbean
The overall objective is to provide Technical Assistance to CARIFORUM and to the EU Delegation to
Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States, the OECS and CARICOM/CARIFORUM in the identification
of opportunities for policy development and implementation of innovative technical interventions to
improve solid waste management systems in selected Caribbean countries, paving the way for future
circular economy investments in the region.
- Education required
- Senior Expert in Waste Management/ Environmental Engineering
University Degree in any of the following: economics, social science, environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental
management, urban planning, technical sciences or related fields
- Experience required
- General professional experience:
At least 12 years post-degree relevant professional experience in international cooperation
Specific professional experience:
-10 years of experience in solid waste management, preferably in the context of the Small island states.
-Work experience in donor funded and at international level in solid waste management is a strong asset.
-Knowledge of good practices, multilateral financing mechanisms and key donor involved in solid waste management at the global level.
-Familiarity with EU development programmes or regional cooperation is an asset.
