GREECE - TRANSPORT PLANNING SPECIALIST
- Renewal of the Urban Bus Fleets for the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki
The overall objective of the project is the design and implementation of a Bus Fleet Replacement Programme for urban transport systems in Athens and Thessaloniki
The intended start date is June 2020 and the period of implementation of the Assignment will be 8 months from this date.
- Education required
- At least a Master's Degree or academic equivalent in transport economics, and/or relevant qualifications in transport planning
- Experience required
- General professional experience - Minimum requirement
-At least 15 years of experience as a policy/planning specialist in the transport sector.
Specific professional experience and reference projects
-Experience as Team Leader or Key Expert on two (or more) projects in the transport and urban mobility field is preferable.
-Experience in the application of demand forecasting, economic and financial analysis, strategic planning and public transport operations at urban/regional level is preferable.
-Experience with aspects relating to bus fleet planning is preferable.
-Experience with EU policies, regulations and directives relevant to the public transport sector is preferable.
-Experience in at least one project that included services relating to the procurement and contracting of public service obligations according to Regulation 1370/2007 is preferable.
-Previous professional experience, as described above, in Greece would be an additional advantage.
-Proficiency in written and spoken English (CEFR C1) - Minimum requirement.
-Knowledge of Greek is an advantage.
