JAPAN - Urban Development - Expert Japonais
- The purpose of this contract is to develop urban cooperation and foment city-to-city partnerships between EU and non-EU local authorities in India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand in order to exchange best practices and knowledge towards improving cities sustainable urban development.
- Education required
- University degree at master's level (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to the scope of the assignment (e.g. social sciences, political science, international studies, economics, communication, geography, urban planning/development, architecture, engineering etc.)
- Experience required
- In the absence of a Master's degree, equivalent relevant professional experience of at least three (3) years in addition to the required ten (10) years of general professional experience.
-High proficiency of written and spoken English and Japanese.
General professional experience
-Minimum ten (10) years, proven post-graduate professional experience in fields related to the assignment
Specific professional experience
-Minimum five (5) years, proven post-graduate professional experience in fields related to sustainable urban development in Japan.
-Having undertaken at least one (1) assignment in at least 1 project of at least 1 year related to cooperation between sub-national entities and/or their groupings.
Experience in working with the research community, private sector and financial institutions in the fields of: sustainable urbanisation, will be considered an asset
For the implementation of this project key expert for Japan should be engaged +/- 200 working days per year
